WAYS TO LOVE ME

Performed at PALLAS PROJECT STUDIOS on 20th June & 5th July 2019

35 minute interdisciplinary performance piece exploring the legacy of emotional colonialism on contemporary love relationships and intimate power dynamics.

Materials : 15kg golden caster sugar, 3 metres of natural muslin, scalpel, steel wire and steel fastenings, original sound design, text, voice, performative / ritualistic movement and musical elements.

Accompanied by Marshall Woods on the Kalimba, Maracas, Bodhrán, Bongos, Water Rattle & Cow Bell, Corneille Tshibasu on Keyboard accompaniment, & Jason Akhionbare on the Bass Guitar.
